TomTom's share price is well below the IPO price. Some analysts explain it by the difficulty of re-financing of the TeleAtlas deal last year, but these shares have been falling since December 2007 and therefore not likely to be the one of the victims of the "credit crunch". Garmin is not doing too well either, in fact when compared side-by-side both graphs looks almost identical. Perhaps a slightly better explanation is that the manufacturers' margins have decreased dramatically thanks to the price war which the two sides have fought since TomTom entered the PND market.
