TomTom GO Repairs
We do both TomTom GO car navigation hardware and software repairs, including the dreaded SD card red cross, SD card not loading and missing maps problems. Most common problems are broken or smashed screens, TomTom GO not switching on (but the green light is on when connected to the external power supply) and damaged SD cards.
When we receive a unit or an SD card, we will examine it and let you know what needs to be done. You can then make a decision what to do next. If you decide that we shouldn't go ahead with repairs, the unit or the card will be returned to you.
In many cases we would be able to restore your original TomTom SD card if you haven't formatted it. This often happens when you try install a speed camera database, additional voices or colour schemes. We would not be able to help with the copies of the original SD cards, but we can make a backup copy if you send us both the original and the new SDs.
To get a quote please write to us using the Contacts page describing the problem you are having with your TomTom GO, but we wouldn't be able to give advice on how to repair the fault yourself.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO REPAIR THE UNIT YOURSELF, IN THE MAJORITY OF CASES IT WILL SIMPLY MAKE OUR LIFE MORE DIFFICULT. DON'T LET YOU "MATE" UPDATE THE SOFTWARE UNLESS YOU ARE 100% CERTAIN THAT HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING.
